Candidate for the office of SEIU Local 500 Treasurer

My name is Mitchell Tropin. I am a part-time professor at Montgomery College and have been serving on the Local’s Executive Board since 2016. I am running for Treasurer, a role I held during 2016 - 2019. I am currently a Vice President for Higher Education. I would bring experience and leadership skills to the position. As Treasurer, I can contribute even more to making Local 500 a more powerful union and do more to serve our union members. As Treasurer, I promise to commit myself to improving the working conditions and power of all current and future Local 500 members.
